Hi! It’s nice to see you here.
Also known as a self-proclaimed dot-connector, Celina Bolanos (They/Them) is a Japanese-Salvadoran fine artist turned entertainment marketer, creative producer, and digital community builder based in Los Angeles, CA. Currently, they are the Marketing & Social Media Coordinator for Specialty Brands (Jackson, EVH, Gretsch, and Charvel) at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in Hollywood, CA.
Celina’s creative background began in music and visual culture, first as a lifelong guitarist and later through photography and design for local shows and musicians. Their early work centered on documenting and contributing to underground music scenes, where identity, visual language, and community developed in parallel.
They graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Kinetic Imaging (Emerging Technologies, Installation Art, Sound, and Video) and a minor in Media Studies. During this time, they balanced internships, independent creative projects, and writing music while living in a house show venue, experiences that deepened their relationship to collaborative and space-based creative environments. Their creative background in new media and experiential art informs how they think about attention, space, and integrated storytelling, shaped equally by academic practice and early involvement in live show environments.
All of this to say, their work is shaped by years spent moving between DIY music scenes, contemporary art spaces, and online communities. They are interested in how people gather around music, media, and shared experiences, whether through a local show, a piece of internet culture, or a creative project. That curiosity continues to inform their approach to artist marketing, content production, and building experiences that connect artists, audiences, brands, and ideas.
When they’re not working or at a show, they’re probably listening to 2000s death metal, writing guitar riffs for their “Straight Edge Nintendocore 5th-wave emo” solo project, reading about internet algorithms on Substack, trying every energy drink offered at 7/11, or channeling their inner comedian by meticulously crafting Instagram create-mode story posts.
